2/7/08 STLWEBDEV is suspending monthly meetings for the time being. If future meetings are scheduled, notice will be posted here. For more information, please see this special notice.

2/7/08 The awards program originally scheduled for February has been cancelled.

1/15/08 The January meeting has been cancelled.

9/11/07 This month we're going back to our old meeting start time of 7:00 p.m. (Socializing/networking in the lobby any time after 6:30, and if a sponsor has provided food, it will be available in the lobby between 6:30 and 7:00.)

6/8/07 For the June 19th meeting, we will be having a special gathering at Circus Flora! We will NOT be meeting at One City Place. For information on attending "STLWEBDEV at the Circus" email stacey@stlwebdev.org

5/9/07 We're looking at award winners at the Webby Awards as this month's main presentation.

4/3/07 A new format for the group's monthly meetings will be tried at this month's meeting. Special-interest sessions where individuals can network on requested topics will be held in the middle of the meeting instead of at the beginning. The main presentation will follow. See you there!

2/20/07 February and March meetings will not be held. The next meeting of STLWEBDEV will be Tuesday, April 17. An email meeting reminder notice will be sent out as usual.

2/1/07 The Web Awards program will not be held at its normal time this year (in February). Stay tuned for further announcements regarding the awards program.

12/19/06 Elections for board members were not held this fall. The board will announce plans for adding new members to the board in the near future.

12/18/06 The meeting in November was canceled for lack of attendees. Dave Schmidt from Microsoft will return and try again in January with SharePoint updates.

11/22/06 STLWEBDEV celebrates its TENTH birthday next month! Don't miss the special celebration at our meeting on December 19th!!

10/17/06 Nominations are open for this year's board member elections.

8/14/06 The St. Louis Web Developers blog is online and open for comment (under Quick Links). Check it out and add your thoughts!

7/17/06 The July 18th meeting has been canceled due to a scheduling issue. We look forward to seeing everyone at the August meeting.

5/24/06 The Powerpoint presentation on blogs from May's meeting is now available for download.

3/3/06 The seasons just come and go too quickly. So we've implemented a St. Louis flavored design that is suitable any time of year. Many thanks to Abram Siemsen of Technisonic Interactive for the stellar design.

3/2/06 Winners of the 2005 Web Site Awards have been posted. Check out the best and brightest sites 2005 had to offer!

1/3/06 Nominations for the 2005 Web Site Awards are now open! Any Stlwebdev member in good standing (has attended at least three meetings this past year or a member of IWA) can nominate sites to be considered in this year's competition by going to http://stlwebdev.wwcg.com. Nominations open until January 14, 2006. A site must have been created by St. Louis talent, and can be nominated in up to three categories. Winners will receive their trophies and other prizes on February 21, 2006 in the auditorium at One City Place.

11/13/05 *** NOTE *** The meetings are at One City Place again. For those of you who have been with us a while, it's just like old times. For the new folks, here's the map.

11/13/05 The site is back up after the hardware failure! Hooray. Sorry about the delay. Also, the mailing lists are not yet active. We hope to bring them online soon.

10/24/05 The stlwebdev.org site is recovering from a hardware failure. We're still in the process of restoring the server's data, but meanwhile, be advised that some functions of the site (such as the job board, mailing list archive and other dynamic content) will not work properly for a few more days.

Also, the mailing lists are not yet active. We hope to bring them online soon.

6/2/05 The STLWEBDEV Board has been asked by Greg Hammond to be relieved of his position on the Board as President due to extended work-related absences from the area. Vice President Marcia O'Brien has therefore stepped up and assumed the role of President.

4/11/05 Google employees get free lunch. What's your dream job? Land it at the May 17th Job Fair.

4/5/05 The Spring 2005 design is up (thanks to John Simanowitz, Matt Jensen, and Jacob Heberlie at Integrity).

3/1/05 The newly-elected Board of STLWEBDEV took office today. At an earlier Board meeting, its members elected Greg Hammond as the new President and Marcia O'Brien as the new Vice President (as announced at the awards ceremony on 2/15).

2/15/05 Winners of the best Web sites created by St. Louis-area Web developers were announced tonight at the 2004 Web Site Awards ceremony held at the St. Louis Science Center. See the complete list of winners, along with photos and more, here.

11/17/04 The four new Board members elected for a two-year term are: Rick Eccher, Skye Giordano, Stephanie Leffler, and Marcia O'Brien. The new members' terms start March 1, 2005. Thanks to all who ran and participated in the election process!

12/13/03 Nominations for the 2003 stlwebdev.org Web Awards can now be made by means of this form. [Nominations for this year's competition were closed 1/11/04.]

11/18/03 The results of tonight's election are posted on the Board Members page. Thanks to all the candidates and all who voted! The new board members were elected to two-year terms. Next year we'll elect four more members to the board.

6/17/03 General meetings of the group are now being held at SAVVIS Communications, with snacks provided by Radware Ltd.

12/31/02 Nominations for the 2002 stlwebdev.org Web Site Awards have been extended until midnight on January 7, 2003. Members need to submit sites by then in order to be considered for the awards to be given out in February.

5/22/02 The St. Louis Web Developers Organization is in booth #112 at the 2002 St. Louis Information Technology Exhibition and Conference (ITEC) at America's Center, May 22-23. Lots of people are finding out about us here for the first time.
